QuarkChain’s mainnet V1.0 "Singularity" was officially launch on Apr 30th. It is one of the first public chains that successfully implemented state sharding technology for blockchain in the world.

QuarkChain is a flexible, scalable, and user-oriented blockchain infrastructure by applying blockchain sharding technology. In addition, QuarkChain relies on the completed design of sharding function to achieve theoretical throughput capacity. At the same time, QuarkChain realizes the customization of four dimensions: different shards have different consensus algorithms, ledger models, transaction models and token economics. QuarkChain is protected by hashpower of root chain-shards, it has become a flexible, highly scalable and easy-to-use blockchain underlying architecture that integrates security, decentralization and efficiency.

Using sharding technology, QuarkChain has built a whole set of mechanisms around industry pain points, which achieves much more flexibility and interoperability than other projects. QuarkChain mainnet realizes many functions:

Through using state sharding technology and horizontal scalability, QuarkChain offers a better solution of blockchain trilemma. Every shard has different consensus algorithms, ledger models, transaction models, and token economics. Relying on the high-performance cross-shard transactions, all assets on the shards can be interoperable. Because of the compatibility of multiple consensuses, miners do not need to make either-or choices.

QuarkChain makes it possible to achieve compatibility, inclusion and coexistence of the above algorithms,which can free the community from split.

The multi-native token mechanism is another innovation of QuarkChain, and the core is that the ledger model can directly support multiple native tokens. By using multi-native tokens and cross-shard transactions, tokens can flow among different shards. The tokens circulating to different shards will have the function and form of shards, which brings the more extreme interoperability. For example, if a shard implements the function of private tokens, the users who need it can directly enter the shard to implement the function, and if using DApp requires faster confirmation, only use shards which are based on DPoS consensus are needed. All users who hold native tokens can use different functions on shards on QuarkChain's mainnet.

QuarkChain can meet all works of life’s needs by customizing shards. More industries, more users and more functions will enable the whole network to provide more and better services. When a new technology (whether a new consensus or a virtual machine) emerges, QuarkChain will always be able to adapt to these changes.
